Halloween is right around the block, and it’s time for festive costume parties, gross candy corn, and all things pumpkin spice. In honor of these American traditions, I decided to share a collection of Halloween-inspired tracks that will get you ready for adult trick-or-treatin’. October’s playlist, Pretty Wicked Things, includes a mix of old Halloween favorites like Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, Nina Simone’s “I Put A Spell on You”, and DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince’s “A Nightmare on My Street.” I threw in a grab bag of other R&B, hip-hop, and pop tracks from the likes of Beyonce, Usher, Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes, and yes, MC Hammer to invoke the spirit. Whether you celebrate Halloween or not, you will certainly find a few songs that will make you bob your head.
